Abstracts for the MEDCOAST 17 Congress must be submitted online via the Congress Web page. The deadline is 29 May 2017. 

The steps of online abstract submission procedure are explained below:

1. Choose the appropriate congress topic, which is addressed by your abstract, from the dropdown list. If the topic of your abstract is not included in the list, choose “Other” and type your topic in the adjacent box.

2. Write down your abstract title. The title should be concise, reflecting the main subject of the study and it should not exceed 50 characters including spaces.

3. Add each author’s information with respecting the order of authors using "Add author" button. Names, affiliations, mailing addresses, telephone numbers, and e-mail addresses of each author must be provided. If you need to edit any author’s information or remove an author, you may do so via “Edit/Remove” link.

4. Paste your abstract text into the related box. Be aware that the abstract is pasted as unformatted text. Therefore, please avoid using subscripts/superscripts (i.e. use sq. m instead of m2). The abstract text must be one page at maximum with Times New Roman 12pt characters and single-spaced lines. MAKE SURE that you do spell and grammars check of the text by using your word processor.  DO NOT include tables, graphs, formulas and references in the abstract.

5. Choose the proposed/preferred presentation type (oral / poster).  The final decision on the type of presentation is made by the Executive Program Committee of the MEDCOAST 17 Congress.

6. Corresponding authors must fill in an additional form and provide the required information about their profile.  They must create a password in order to access their profile at a later time by logging in from the “Members Area” at the congress home-page.

7. For multiple abstract submissions, corresponding authors should mark the box: “Please mark here if you have submitted another abstract before” and enter their e-mail address together with their password.

8. Before submitting your abstract, it is strongly recommended to preview it via “View your abstract” link and compare it with the abstract template. Make sure that the abstract created through automated online submission system matches exactly the provided template.

9. After submission of your abstract, if you have to make changes in the text of your abstract, the authors or information provided about the authors, you may do so until the abstract submission deadline (29 May 2017) by entering your profile page using the username (your e-mail address) and the password that you received earlier.


The Executive Program Committee of the MEDCOAST 17 Congress reserves the right to accept or reject any submitted abstract, to change their congress topic and presentation types.


Acceptance or rejection notice of submitted abstracts will be sent to the corresponding author. It is the responsibility of the corresponding author to inform the co-authors about the decision for their abstract.
